My passion for photography began at an early age with film photography. At 10, I told my parents I wanted to be a National Geographic photographer. That passion really grew in the darkroom of my high school. I began shooting weddings as an assistant/ second photographer and took the leap into my own business more than 17 years ago.  Little did I know then that I would be making that 10-year-old girl proud, photographing people in love.

My enthusiasm for wedding photography stems from an interest in connections, whether between the couple, family or with friends (the family we choose), and a love to work with my couples to create something timeless.

I love the dynamic nature of a wedding: the excitement, joy and frenzy. And the chance to create emotive or unexpected images. I strive to put you at ease and create a welcoming space for all my couples.

FActs About Me

  1. I used to be scared of dogs after I was chased by a big dog as a kid. That changed with my first rescue dog, a stray from Central America. Since then, we’ve had 2 more rescue dogs join our home.

A woman sitting on a rock by a calm mountain lake with a black dog in the foreground. The woman is holding a mug and looking at the snow-capped mountains reflected in the water. The scene is surrounded by a forest of trees with golden foliage.
A young girl with wavy light brown hair and a serious expression, crossing her arms, standing against a plain wall.

2.Once, when volunteering for BC Parks in the backcountry, I got caught nude swimming in a glacial lake, when I thought I was alone.

A calm lake with a rocky shore and a forested landscape in the background under an overcast sky.

3.When I first started shooting weddings, I used to do so on 4-inch platforms. I’ve since learnt. You will now find me in flat sandals only.
